Feelgrounds has two types of classic sneakers, the Original Mesh and the Original Luxe. Between the two, I liked the Original Luxe barefoot shoes better because of their vegan leather material.
And yes, I do recommend the white shoes. Why white barefoot sneakers, I’m sure you asking?
Well, I’ve worn white shoes as part of my wardrobe for many years, not exclusively the Original Luxe shoes, but all sorts of barefoot shoes. In my humble opinion, white shoes are timeless.
The color adds instant class to any outfit and goes with anything you’re wearing. You can’t go wrong!
Between the Original Luxe and Original Mesh shoes from Feelgrounds, I felt the Original Luxe shoes looked whiter. I also figured their leather construction would be easier to maintain.
That leather feels fantastic, and it’s practically indistinguishable from real leather.
The Original Luxe barefoot shoes meet all my barefoot shoe criteria and then some. They’re ultra-lightweight and super flexible.
Personally, I have narrow feet, and I found the toe box of the Original Luxe barefoot shoes to be quite spacious and comfortable. I also like the thin sole, as it enhances my groundfeel. I wish the grip was a bit more robust, but that’s my only complaint.
The biggest question when buying a pair of white shoes is whether they’ll stay white. That and how do you keep them white?
Feelgrounds recommends using a soft shoe brush to remove any surface dirt from the shoes that you accumulate when out and about.
If your shoes have gotten messier still, combine a mild cleaner with lukewarm water. Dip the soft brush into the mixture and clean the dirty surface of the shoes.
Use a moist cloth to blot up any excess moisture or cleaner. Put your Original Luxe shoes in a room-temperature environment so they can dry.
You can’t throw these Feelgrounds shoes in the washing machine.

Zero-Drop Heel
A barefoot shoe needs a zero-drop heel, so it shouldn’t surprise you to see this feature in the Original Luxe shoes. The reduced cushioning lowers your forefoot and heel so they’re at the same height.
With every step you take, you’ll build more strength in your feet. Besides stronger muscles, you’ll notice less foot pain and better balance.
Amply-Sized Toe Box

When you wear shoes that constrict your feet, you have no room to splay your toes. They just stay squished in your shoes, increasing your risk of bunions and leaving your toes aching by the end of the day.
The Original Luxe shoes give your toes the freedom they’ve long desired. You can space them apart, wiggle them, squeeze them, and otherwise move them as freely as you would if you weren’t wearing shoes at all!
Thin Sole
Feelgrounds added its ultra-thin 5-millimeter or 0.2-inch sole to the Original Luxe sneakers. The manufacturer does not recommend wearing these shoes during high-friction activities, as you can wear down the malleable sole.
The slimness of the sole only further enhances your groundfeel.
Vegan and Eco-Friendly
As I mentioned in the last section, the Feelgrounds Original Luxe sneakers use vegan leather. You don’t have to stress about animal byproducts in your footwear, as you’ll find none.
I also adore how green these shoes are…although not literally. I’m talking about how they’re environmentally conscious.
The sole uses recyclable TPE, and the laces are made from recycled PET.
Unisex
These aren’t exclusively ladies’ shoes at all. The Feelgrounds Original Luxe barefoot shoes are unisex. Fellas, you don’t have to miss out!
Water-Resistant
Besides being soft to the touch, the faux leather uppers, also boast a degree of water resistance.
These shoes aren’t waterproof, so I wouldn’t get them overly wet. However, if you step in a puddle or take them out on a rainy day, the Original Luxe shoes’ water repellency kicks in to keep them safe from harm.
Ultra-Flexible and Light
You’ll be astounded at how little the Original Luxe sneakers weigh, only 8.4 ounces or 238 grams for a men’s size 10 and a women’s size 11.5 (United States sizes).
When walking around in these stylish shoes, they feel so light and airy that you can truly forget you’re even wearing them after a while. The great groundfeel you get in these barefoot shoes also helps in making them feel barely there.
Feelgrounds designed the Original Luxe shoes with flexibility in mind. When you don’t have these great shoes on your feet, you can fold them up on themselves.
If you’re like me and you overpack, you can always find room in your luggage or carry-on bag for these shoes since they don’t take up much space.
Shaped Like Your Feet
Shoes have the most unnatural shapes when you stop and think about it, especially women’s heels. Stuffing your feet into stilettos might make your outfit look good, but all the pain you suffer in the interim will make you want to throw those shoes out and never wear them again.
Those painful days will feel miles away when you slip into a pair of Feelgrounds barefoot shoes. The Original Luxe shoes, like most footwear Feelgrounds produces, have a natural foot shape.
Don’t get me wrong, they still look like shoes, but they don’t feel like other shoes you’ve worn before, even sneakers.
The natural shape promotes stronger and healthier feet!
Great Color Selection
While the all-white Original Luxe barefoot shoes are my favorite, they’re not your only option. You can also choose black shoes with a black sole, black shoes with a white sole, white shoes with a tan sole, or metallic rose shoes with a white sole.

If you’re looking for a dependable, timeless, classy shoe to add to your spring collection, the answer is undeniably yes. These shoes have a classic look no matter the color, but I especially love the all-white variety.
Feelgrounds designs barefoot shoes with style at the forefront. When people see you in these sneakers, they probably won’t believe you’re wearing barefoot shoes at all! Yet you are, and that’s evident in the thin sole, spacious toe box, flexible design, and lightweight properties.
I love how these shoes are water-resistant. Although that’s not as good as waterproof shoes, it’s better than nothing. I also quite like how the shoes use recycled and recyclable materials and don’t source animal byproducts.
I will reiterate that I wish the outsole felt a bit more robust. The sole can wear away fast if you’re not careful. These shoes are fine for everyday activities but nothing athletic.
Even if you walk in them a lot, the sole could begin to wear since it’s softer.
I know the price is a lot for some people, but these are dependable, appealing, comfortable shoes. It’s hard to put a price tag on those qualities!
